New Delhi: Shifting from the AI hype to real-world impact, Indian enterprises are embracing AI solutions across business operations, making 2025 the year of measurable AI outcomes, Europe's largest software maker SAP said on Wednesday.

Based on analysis of SAP customers in India over a 12-month period from March 2024 to March 2025, the most popular AI use cases in India include AI-generated visual insights, summaries, and translations, AI-assisted process analysis, and creating sales orders from unstructured data. Others use cases that have caught-on are predictive forecasting, and natural language queries. At the SAP NOW AI Tour event in Mumbai, SAP India on Wednesday revealed new analysis, giving insights into how Indian businesses are benefiting from artificial intelligence (AI).

"In any organisation, it is the profound insights derived from data that fuel mission-critical operations across finance, procurement, supply chain, workforce and beyond," Manish Prasad, President and Managing Director, SAP Indian Subcontinent said. The company said it is empowering customers as they evolve into intelligent, optimised businesses by embedding AI agents into all aspects of business operations. "We are redefining how individuals work and changing the way businesses are run...," he said.

India supports SAP's global target of 400 total embedded AI use cases across its portfolio, from over 210 generative AI use cases available now, the company said in a release. SAP Labs India, the company's second largest Research and Development center outside Germany, is responsible for a large part of the development of SAP's AI co-pilot, Joule. The company said the recent launch of SAP Business Cloud introduced new data and AI innovations, helping companies move beyond simple automation, solve the most complex business challenges, and drive enterprise-wide efficiency, agility, and innovation.
